Oidradapp and the claimed CME connection
A public complaint names dapp.oidradapp.com as an investment platform using the name of CME Group. The writer says a Facebook contact moved the conversation to WhatsApp and encouraged deposits. When the writer wanted the money back, a 31% “tax” was demanded before release.
This account gives serious grounds to suspect an investment scam. The claimed CME connection does not make the offer safe: the real CME Group explicitly warns that it does not solicit business through WhatsApp, request cryptocurrency payments or demand taxes to release funds. Its warning describes impersonation risks generally; it is not a named finding about Oidradapp.
What the withdrawal complaint actually says
The original Reddit post, reviewed on 26 October 2026, reports 133,835 USDC sent in several transfers during October. USDC is a cryptocurrency designed to track the US dollar. In a reply, the author distinguishes those transfers from an on-screen balance exceeding 350,000 and describes the 31% demand.
That distinction matters. A displayed balance can include invented profit. When reporting a loss, start with money actually sent, subtract any payments actually returned and keep the dashboard figure separate.
The sum and payment history are the author's account, not independently verified bank or blockchain records. A second website retells the same post; it is not a second victim or separate confirmation. The source does not establish the operator's legal identity or a verified total number of affected customers.
What the domain check adds
The registry record for oidradapp.com gives 13 July 2026 as its creation date. The address in the complaint adds the subdomain dapp.. A recently registered domain can belong to a legitimate new business, so age alone does not prove fraud. It does mean that the domain's age cannot support a claim of a long trading history at that address.
A CME logo or a link to a genuine financial website would not establish ownership either. To check an alleged CME contact, start from cmegroup.com independently and compare its published channels. Do not log in through a link sent by the person asking for another payment.
Why paying a withdrawal “tax” can make the loss bigger
The reported sequence is straightforward: trust in a personal contact, repeated deposits, a growing balance and then an extra payment required to withdraw. The apparent profit creates pressure to pay again so that the earlier money will not feel lost.
A legitimate tax liability depends on the rules that apply to you. A stranger's percentage and a wallet address do not establish that liability. Do not treat the request as genuine just because a support agent calls it a tax, security deposit or verification fee.
Our assessment: the described offer has strong signs of a scam and should not receive further payments. The reasons are the reported advance-payment demand and the conflict with CME's own communication rules. This is an evidence-based warning about the described offer, not a claim that CME Group operates it.
If you sent money to Oidradapp
- Stop additional transfers. Do not borrow or pay a smaller “test fee” to unlock the balance. Save the demand before ending the conversation.
- Contact the bank or exchange used to send it promptly. Report suspected fraud, give the receiving address or account and ask whether any funds can be traced, flagged or frozen. Completed blockchain transfers generally cannot be reversed by the sending provider; ask what help is still available.
- Save a usable transaction record. Keep the asset, network, amount, date, recipient address and transaction hash for every transfer. The hash is the transaction's identifier. Add chat exports, the exact domain, account screenshots and withdrawal requests. Never share a seed phrase or private key.
- Secure your access. If you shared a password, code or remote access, protect the affected accounts using genuine apps or websites from a safe device. If a wallet was connected or permissions were signed, seek trusted help to assess those permissions; disconnecting a site alone may not revoke them.
- Report where you live. Provide the same timeline to the relevant police or cybercrime service and keep the reference number. Our reporting guide explains the routes. Be wary of private messages offering guaranteed recovery for an upfront fee; see our recovery-service checks.
