Nature of our content
Reports on this site reflect our research and reader submissions at the time of publication, following the process described in our methodology. They are not a legal determination of wrongdoing, and nothing on this site is legal, financial, or investment advice — for a decision specific to your situation, talk to a qualified professional.
No recovery fees, ever
If you use our free-help service, we will never ask you to pay an upfront fee to "recover", "unlock", or "release" funds, or to pay any fee at all for the initial consultation. A request for payment before recovering money is itself one of the scam patterns we report on — see our chargeback/recovery scam coverage for examples. If anyone contacts you claiming to be from this site and asks for payment like this, it isn't us — contact us at the details on our About page.
Verified platforms
Platforms on our Verified platforms page have been reviewed by our team against our methodology. Some platforms may offer an introduction form; submitting it is voluntary and requires your explicit consent, and we may receive compensation for introductions we make. That listing and any compensation arrangement don't guarantee the outcome of your dealings with that platform — you're responsible for your own decisions, including reading that platform's own terms before you act.
User submissions
If you submit a report, evidence, or any other content to us, you confirm it's accurate to the best of your knowledge and you give us permission to use it (including editing it for clarity or to remove identifying details) as part of our published reporting. Don't submit anything you know to be false, or anything defamatory about a person or company without a genuine basis for the claim. We may edit, decline to publish, or remove any submission at our discretion, including after legal review.
Acceptable use
You may not: scrape or systematically copy this site's content without permission, submit forms in an automated or abusive way, impersonate someone else when submitting a report or request, or use the site for any unlawful purpose. You must be at least 18 to submit a report, a help request, or a platform introduction.
Third-party links
We link to regulators, news sources, and other sites as evidence for our reporting, and to platforms we've verified. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or availability.
Corrections
If you believe a report about you or your business is inaccurate, contact us via the details on our About page — see our methodology for how correction requests are reviewed.
No warranty, limitation of liability
We research reports carefully, but we don't guarantee that every detail is complete or free of error, and we're not liable for decisions made based on this site's content, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't lawfully be limited (for example, liability for fraud).
Governing law
