What does the Folio X advert say?
The German-language advert describes Folio X as one of the best UK law firms for cyberfraud and investment cases. Its application button offers a free investigation. No comparison or ranking source supports the “best” claim in the captured advert.
On 20 October 2026, Meta showed advert 2606857643144968 as active, with a start date that day. The advertiser's page ID was 61578133981592. These details identify this offer, rather than unrelated products using “Folio”.
Which professional register should you check?
“UK law firm” is not enough detail to choose a register. Ask where the firm practises, its full legal name, the responsible lawyer and its regulator. The SRA register covers solicitors it regulates in England and Wales; it is not a register of every UK legal professional.
Use the relevant regulator's own website to compare contact details. If a caller supplies a registration number, check that the entry belongs to the same person and firm. Then confirm the enquiry through an independently found office contact.
Folio X's professional status remains unconfirmed. Ask for the responsible lawyer's full name and check it through the relevant professional register.
What does a free investigation include?
Ask whether the offer is only an initial assessment or includes actual work on your case. Get any later fees, cancellation terms and proposed tasks in writing before agreeing.
If you left contact details with Folio X, keep the advert and ask who received the form. Do not send a complete financial history merely because a caller says your case has been accepted.
If you paid someone claiming to represent Folio X and now doubt the request, contact your payment provider promptly. Ask what recall or dispute options apply to that payment. Save the invoice and recipient details; do not delete the conversation.
Unsure what the caller is asking you to do?
Tell us what you were offered and whether you have signed or paid. We can help you understand the next steps without assuming that a free assessment guarantees a refund.
