What is NovaFest Finanz selling?
NovaFest Finanz, also written NovaFestFinanz, presents novafestfinanz.com as a place to compare fixed-term deposits. A fixed-term deposit normally means placing money with a bank for an agreed period at an agreed rate. The important question is which institution actually accepts your money and holds the deposit in your name.
The public offer page reviewed on 26 October 2026 displayed three 12-month examples: 5.45% under Finom Payments, from €25,000; 5.42% under VIVABANK S.A., from €25,000; and 5.40% under CLEAR JUNCTION LIMITED, from €15,000. These are the website’s advertised claims, not independently confirmed products or partnerships.
The page qualifies its deposit-protection wording by referring readers to institution profiles and product documents. That qualification does not establish that the named institution has accepted you as a depositor.
The Clear Junction detail changes the check
Clear Junction’s own Consumer Duty page says it works with corporate clients and does not open accounts for individual consumers. Its business includes payment infrastructure for financial firms. That differs materially from a retail saver being offered a fixed-term deposit directly under its name.
A payment company can legitimately appear in a payment chain. Its name on a transfer therefore does not, by itself, prove wrongdoing or that it sold you a deposit. But it also does not validate the advertised savings product. A reader needs the actual contracting bank, deposit agreement and confirmation obtained independently from that institution.
This comparison is a specific reason to question the offer. It is not an accusation that the real Clear Junction, Finom or VIVABANK operates NovaFest.
What BaFin has established
BaFin’s 23 October 2026 notice names novafestfinanz.com. It warns about purported fixed deposits, says the operators are unknown and not supervised by BaFin, and states a suspicion of financial or investment services without the required permission.
That is a regulator warning, not a court judgment or a published total of customer losses. Together with the product-identity mismatch, it is sufficient reason to avoid sending money on the strength of this website. A high interest rate alone would not establish fraud; the identity and authority behind the offer are the central problems.
If you are considering a deposit
Ask for the full legal name of the bank accepting the deposit, the contract, the account holder and the deposit-protection information. Find that bank through its official register and contact it using details obtained independently. Ask whether your exact application, account and product exist. Do not use a number supplied only by the salesperson.
A foreign IBAN is not automatically suspicious. More important is whether the recipient and payment purpose match the verified contract. An institutional logo, a screenshot or a document headed “certificate” cannot replace confirmation from the real institution.
If you already transferred money
Contact your bank’s fraud team promptly. Give the recipient name, IBAN, amount, date, transfer reference and BaFin notice. Ask whether the transfer can be recalled, the receiving institution notified and the transaction investigated. A recall request is not a promise of repayment.
Save the offer, contract, emails, messages and payment instructions. Record any difference between the advertised bank and the recipient on your statement. If someone demands more money to release the savings, keep the request and do not assume it is a legitimate bank charge.
Report suspected fraud to the appropriate authorities and retain the reference. Our reporting guide explains what information to prepare. Request a free phone consultation if you need help understanding who received your savings and which documents matter. We can explain the next steps without promising recovery.
