Vantex Bank: FMA Warning and Website Claims

A website may call itself a bank. It may even warn you about fake banks. Neither statement answers the main question: is the firm allowed to offer you this service?

With Vantex Bank, the exact website matters. The Austrian warning names vantex-bank.com. This article concerns that address, not every business with a similar name.

What does the FMA warning say?

On 9 October 2026, Austria’s Financial Market Authority warned about Vantex Bank at vantex-bank.com. It said the provider lacked permission for banking services in Austria that require a licence, including taking deposits and lending.

That is a specific finding about a place and services. It is not a court judgment about every transaction worldwide. It is still a clear reason to pause before sending money.

Why is the site’s security page not enough?

The site calls vantex-bank.com its only official domain. It also lists other addresses that it says misuse its name. We have not confirmed who owns those other sites.

The key point is simple: the FMA warning concerns vantex-bank.com itself. It is not just a warning about a similar spelling on the site’s list.

“Official” can mean a page belongs to its operator. It does not mean a regulator has approved the service. Keep those two checks separate.

What licence and ownership claims did we find?

The site’s legal page gives the name Vantex Bank Société Anonyme. It lists a Paris address, register number 824 365 719 and an ACPR reference of 18432. These are the site’s claims, not facts we have verified in an official register.

Its About page also claims ownership by First Abu Dhabi Bank. Our checks did not establish that link through the claimed parent bank. A logo, group name or registration number on an offer is not enough to confirm it.

We have not established who controls the website or which protections would cover a customer’s payment. Do not read these claims as our endorsement of the firm.

How can I check the claim myself?

Use a regulator’s website reached separately from the offer. For European banks, the EBA links to its own register and national registers. The EBA says its list does not itself grant legal rights; national records may be more current.

Match the full legal name, website, contact details and service. A real firm with a similar name may be unrelated. A company register entry also does not, by itself, grant a banking licence.

Write down the question you need answered: “Does this firm, using this exact domain, have permission to offer this account to someone in my country?” Ask through contact details found on the regulator’s site.

Have customers lost money or had withdrawals refused?

We have not independently verified a specific customer loss or refused withdrawal in this review. We therefore do not give a victim count or a loss total.

That gap does not remove the FMA warning. It means the warning and an individual payment dispute must be described separately. Similar names in online reviews must not be treated as the same operator without evidence.

What should I do if I already paid?

  1. If you suspect deception, contact your bank or payment provider promptly. Give the exact website, payment date, amount and recipient. Ask what recall or dispute options apply to that payment.
  2. Save the offer, agreement and messages. Keep a dated copy of the page you relied on. Record the account name or wallet address that received the money.
  3. Keep a record of any withdrawal request and reply. Separate your deposits from profits shown only on a screen.
  4. Do not send a further payment just because a caller says it will release the balance. Ask your payment provider how to assess the demand.
  5. If you shared a password, change it wherever you reused it. If you suspect fraud, report the facts through the official route in your country.

These steps protect your records and help assess your options. They do not guarantee a refund. Our reporting guide explains where different reports go.
