What happened in the complaint?
Washington State’s Department of Financial Institutions published its alert on 12 June 2026. The account it describes started through WhatsApp. The person reportedly invested $200,000, saw an account value of $19 million, and was unable to withdraw either the original investment or the supposed gains.
The distinction between those figures matters. An account can display a number without holding that amount for its customer. To assess a loss, start with money actually sent and money actually returned. Keep the displayed balance as evidence of what was promised, not as a substitute for payment records.
DFI presents this as a complaint and expressly says it has not verified the allegations or losses. It is therefore a serious warning to investigate your own payment, not a court-certified loss total.
What was Winimark selling?
The notice identifies winimark.com, a service presenting itself as a financial education and technology business. It refers to a person using the title Professor James Caldwell, a WMT token white paper and Evo AI.
Calling an offer “education” does not answer a more practical question: who received your money and what did they promise in exchange? A course fee, purchase of a token and deposit into a trading account are different transactions. Write down which one your documents describe.
DFI also notes a mismatch between a claimed start in 2009 and a business registration in March 2025. An incorporation date alone cannot prove fraud; a business can have a history before a particular company was formed. But that claimed history needs evidence, especially when it is used to persuade someone to trust a large deposit.
What to save if you used Winimark
Export the relevant WhatsApp conversation before deleting or blocking it. Keep the group name, invitation link if available, administrators’ numbers, payment instructions and withdrawal replies. Avoid posting personal documents or full financial details publicly.
For a bank or card payment, keep the recipient name and statement entry. For crypto, record the transaction hash, network and receiving address. If WMT was involved, save the token contract address: a short ticker can be used by unrelated tokens.
Contact your bank or the exchange used to send funds through its official support channel. Describe the payments and blocked withdrawal and ask what fraud-reporting or payment-recovery steps remain available. Report suspected fraud to local police; US readers can also report to the FBI’s IC3. Keep all reference numbers together.
Do not spend more to chase an on-screen balance
A new fee does not establish that the displayed money exists. If someone offers to unlock or recover it, ask for the legal basis and check the new recipient independently. Read our guide to checking recovery offers before making another payment.
If you contacted Winimark Wealth Society or lost money after its investment offer, book a free phone consultation. We can help you separate the amounts paid from the balance shown and understand which next steps fit your situation.

Alphavista Exchange
alphavistaexchange.com
Alphavista Exchange advertised investment plans paying up to 300% per trade alongside instant withdrawals and insurance of up to $1 million. Its claimed authorisations were not matched to Alphavista in the CySEC and Seychelles FSA lists checked on 4 November 2026. These combined warning signs support our suspicion of possible fraud. Do not send money on the strength of these claims. The offer described here comes from indexed copies; the website did not open during the latest check.

FXJunction
fxjunction.com
FXJunction links traders to signal providers, but a broker account balance and FXJunction credits are different things. Its FAQ sets a $100 minimum for redeemable credits and excludes bonus credits. On 4 November 2026, the FAQ said providers keep 70%, or 80% for referred copiers, while the provider page promised 90%. Ask which terms apply to your account. This inconsistency and an old complaint justify scrutiny, but do not prove fraud.

HOS Broker / AtlasBrokerOption

HOS Broker searches lead to hosbroker.site, a trading page using several different names. Its withdrawal-policy link opens no policy, and its legal-page link returned an error. We consider these serious warning signs of possible fraud and would not deposit while the operator and withdrawal rules remain unclear.
