How we checked this case: Original advertising, public website documents and cited sources compared on 3 November 2026. Marketing claims, customer allegations and official findings are distinguished.

Northern Index

Northern Index is the subject of an explicit FCA clone warning. This is more than a poor customer rating: the UK regulator says the offer impersonates an authorised fund. The genuine THE NORTHERN FUNDS is not the business accused in that notice.

The distinction matters if a salesperson points to a real register entry to reassure you. A genuine fund's name on a website does not make that website part of the fund.

Which Northern Index does the warning concern?

The FCA notice of 30 October 2026 names Northern Index, gives [email protected] and lists the website as ww.northernindex.com — with two initial “w” characters. The public site and documents examined for this report are at northernindex.com.

The regulator states that the clone lacks its authorisation and that the genuine fund has no connection with it. The site's client agreement nevertheless describes Northern Index as operating under The Northern Funds. That is a material identity claim contradicted by the warning.

What do the website's documents say?

The site does provide downloadable documents. Its client agreement and “About us” file are useful evidence; saying there are no documents would miss the central issue.

Statement in the documents What it does and does not show
Northern Index operates under The Northern Funds The FCA expressly identifies the impersonation and separates the genuine fund from the clone.
A payment role for 1000721280 ONTARIO INC This names a claimed payment company; it does not establish who controlled your particular payment or the website.
FINTRAC number C100000534 A claimed anti-money-laundering registration is not proof of permission to offer investments or protection for your balance.

The agreement itself distinguishes anti-money-laundering oversight from investment approval. Use the exact number in the document, not a differently copied number from a review. The company mentioned in a contract should not automatically be blamed for operating a clone without evidence of that relationship.

Deposits and withdrawal terms: what to check

The website promotes several account tiers, including a $10,000 starting tier, but also a $189 trial. There is therefore no basis to describe $10,000 as the minimum for every route into the service.

The agreement discusses identity checks and withdrawals to an account belonging to the client. Its withdrawal section does not establish one guaranteed deadline for every payment. Those clauses are not an answer to the FCA's identity warning, however.

If a withdrawal is delayed, save its date, amount, status and the reason given. Ask for a written explanation identifying the contractual clause relied on. A new demand for insurance, tax or a release deposit should not be paid simply because a screen shows a profitable balance. No individual customer's loss is treated as verified in this report.

What can you do if you already paid?

Contact your bank or payment provider promptly, explain the clone warning and ask about the route applicable to your payment. For a card payment this may involve a dispute; for a transfer, a recall or fraud assessment. Eligibility and time limits differ. The FCA warning does not automatically produce a refund.

Save the agreement, the salesperson's details, account screenshots and the actual payment beneficiary. A platform name, a payment processor and the beneficiary on your bank receipt may be different. That difference needs documenting, not guessing.

The FCA warns that dealing with this clone does not give you the usual Ombudsman or FSCS protection for the investment. This does not mean you should skip asking your own payment provider about a separate payment complaint. Outside the UK, report suspected fraud to your local police and financial regulator as well.

See our practical withdrawal guide for the evidence to preserve. If you contacted Northern Index, paid money or are facing a further fee demand, request a free phone consultation. We can help you identify the transaction and understand the next steps; the genuine fund should not be confused with the clone.

Alphavista Exchange advertised investment plans paying up to 300% per trade alongside instant withdrawals and insurance of up to $1 million. Its claimed authorisations were not matched to Alphavista in the CySEC and Seychelles FSA lists checked on 4 November 2026. These combined warning signs support our suspicion of possible fraud. Do not send money on the strength of these claims. The offer described here comes from indexed copies; the website did not open during the latest check.

fxjunction.com

FXJunction links traders to signal providers, but a broker account balance and FXJunction credits are different things. Its FAQ sets a $100 minimum for redeemable credits and excludes bonus credits. On 4 November 2026, the FAQ said providers keep 70%, or 80% for referred copiers, while the provider page promised 90%. Ask which terms apply to your account. This inconsistency and an old complaint justify scrutiny, but do not prove fraud.

HOS Broker searches lead to hosbroker.site, a trading page using several different names. Its withdrawal-policy link opens no policy, and its legal-page link returned an error. We consider these serious warning signs of possible fraud and would not deposit while the operator and withdrawal rules remain unclear.
